Ignite Program

The Year 9 Ignite Program was a resounding success this term, providing our students with a dynamic bridge between the classroom and the real world. As a pivotal part of the Year 9 transition experience, the program focused on equipping students with the practical life skills and 'future-ready' knowledge essential for their senior years and beyond.

Program Highlights

During this immersive, week-long experience, students engaged in a variety of hands-on workshops and earned valuable certifications, including:

  • Accredited Training: Students completed First AidFood Handling, and Barista courses, gaining tangible qualifications that will support them in seeking part-time employment.
  • Career Discovery: Participants completed the Morrisby Questionnaire, a leading career diagnostic tool that helped them identify personal strengths and map out potential future pathways.
  • Work Readiness: Students refined their professional profiles through CV and Resume Writing sessions, alongside practical workshops on Budgeting and essential job skills.

Impact and Growth

The Ignite Program is more than just a break from the standard timetable; it is a vital component of our commitment to holistic student development. By focusing on personal growth and academic transition, we have helped our students build the confidence to navigate their future careers with greater clarity and competence.

Congratulations to 9A, 9B and 9C

We were incredibly impressed by the enthusiasm and maturity shown by our 9A, 9B and 9C students during their participation in the program. It was wonderful to see our students developing new talents, supporting one another, and exploring the many possibilities that lie ahead of them. We look forward to our 9D and 9E classes participating in their scheduled week-long program next term!
