Year 9 SCOE Excursion
Ms Liberty Warren
Students used critical thinking that they have been developing in inquiry as part of a SCOE excursion to justify which skills and knowledge would be needed for a successful mission to Mars.
After debating and voting on industries to send on the mission, in a way that mirrors Victoria’s parliamentary process, they collaborated to complete a hands-on design challenge that considers how to sustainably power operations, feed the population, and communicate across the far reaches of space. Students had the opportunity to drive and program space rovers to communicate their recommendations and guide their builds.
The year 9’s work was OUT OF THIS WORLD!
