A group of John Fawkner College students recently participated in the AMPLIFY: Victorian Muslim Roundtable on Education at the Islamic Museum, an initiative led by the Department of Education in partnership with Culture Spring and the Centre for Multicultural Youth.
The roundtable brought together Muslim students from Victorian government schools to share their experiences, perspectives and ideas about education, belonging, faith identity and representation in schools. Our students thoughtfully contributed their insights and reflections, helping to shape recommendations that will inform future education policy and practice across Victoria.
Throughout the day, students engaged in meaningful discussions, storytelling and collaborative activities in a culturally safe and empowering environment. They also had the opportunity to connect with students from other schools and learn more about how young people can continue advocating for positive change in education.
Thank you to Myesha, Ayesha, Jamal, Jad and Zayd for proudly representing our college.

Students represented the college with maturity, confidence and respect, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We are incredibly proud of the way they shared their voices and perspectives to help create a more inclusive future for all students.
