Principal's report

The highlight of my week was taking our student leaders through the new buildings, and seeking their feedback on how they can see the spaces being used. Immediately they had ideas for podcasting in the new sound proof room, and how they could use the whiteboards in the art rooms. They loved the open areas and imagined all sorts of ways that they could enhance their learning in those spaces. We all sat in the theatrette and considered how great the space is and how much better than watching documentaries and films as texts in a classroom.

All in all, the new buildings are promising great things for our students and we can't wait to get in there. New furniture will be delivered next week and soon afterwards, we will start showing students through and preparing to start our first classes.

The Food technology/Cafeteria building will be ready later in the year, hopefully towards the end of term 3.

This has been a long time coming and the students have been extremely patient whist we waited through this frustrating period of the last year or so. I thank them all for their patience and hope that it is all worth it in the end.
