The Powerful Impact of Gratitude on Health and Happiness

Research shows that when families and schools intentionally cultivate gratitude, children benefit both emotionally and academically. Gratitude is linked to improved wellbeing, stronger relationships, and more positive attitudes toward learning. In fact, students who regularly practise gratitude tend to feel more connected to their school community and more engaged in their learning. We encourage families to explore this article on the power of gratitude in childhood- https://ggsc.berkeley.edu/who_we_serve/parents_families.

SWPBS at SEPS

SEPS has once again been recognised by the Department of Education, receiving acknowledgement for the second consecutive year for our strong and consistent implementation of the School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) framework.

This Bronze award highlights the ongoing efforts of both staff and students to foster a positive, respectful, and supportive learning environment through the consistent use of SWPBS practices.

Congratulations to our whole school community for continuing to uphold and prioritise Respect, Responsibility, and positive Relationships.

Well done to Wattle for earning the most house points last term! We commend all students for their dedication to demonstrating excellent behaviour throughout the term, regardless of their house affiliation. The competition was incredibly close, reflecting everyone's hard work and commitment. We hope Wattle had a wonderful celebration last week.

As we look ahead, students have already begun earning coins for Term 2. Who will be the winners this term?!
