Year Two News 

In Humanities this term, Year Two students are learning about Australia and the Pacific. We have started by looking at Miners Rest and then looked at connections to Ballarat, Melbourne, Victoria and other parts of Australia. In the coming weeks, we will expand those connections to look at how Australia is connected to countries such as New Zealand, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. To celebrate our learning of this unit, Year Two students will be going on a learning walk to look at some of the important places in Miners Rest on Wednesday, 25th March.

Last week students learnt about Australia and labelled a map showing the states and territories. Students have been really enjoying learning about their connections to our country so far this term.
