Jump Off Day – Week 8

As we head towards our Jump Off Day in Week 8, students are getting excited to showcase the skipping skills they have been developing throughout the term! Our Grade 1/2 and 3/4 students will come together to share their skipping routines, have a go at big rope activities, and participate in a range of fun skipping games and challenges. There will also be opportunities for students to teach, encourage and support each other as they celebrate their progress.

Our Preps will have a special session with the Grade 5/6 students, who will take on a leadership role by running skipping games and activities for the younger students. This will be a wonderful opportunity for our 5/6 students to share their skills, encourage our Preps and develop their leadership and teamwork skills. We are looking forward to a fun day of skipping, connection, confidence and celebration!

SSA Sporting Achievements

It has been a fantastic few weeks for our school sporting teams! Our 5/6 students had a wonderful day at the Basketball competition last Friday, with both our boys' and girls' teams winning a number of games throughout the day. Our boys had a particularly successful run, making it through to the finals before being defeated by Mt Duneed. A huge congratulations to all students for their effort, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the day.

We would also like to congratulate our 5/6 Girls' Netball team on their fantastic effort at the Western Metropolitan Region Netball competition, where they won 4 of their 8 games against some very strong competition. It was a great achievement and we are incredibly proud of the way our students represented our school!
