Futures Expo
It was wonderful to see so many students and families from both our Clyde North and Cranbourne campuses attend this year's Futures Expo—an evening dedicated to helping our students make informed decisions about their future pathways.
The Futures Expo has become an important event in our College calendar, bringing together everything families need to know in one place as students prepare for subject selection. Throughout the evening, Year Level Information Sessions provided valuable guidance on curriculum pathways and the subject selection process, while our dedicated teachers, Learning Area Leaders and key staff were available to discuss the many opportunities available across the College. These conversations are invaluable in helping students choose subjects that reflect their interests, strengths and future aspirations.
Our Clyde North Campus also hosted a vibrant Tertiary Providers Expo, where families had the opportunity to meet representatives from a wide range of universities, TAFEs and training organisations. Speaking directly with tertiary providers allowed students to explore study options, career pathways and entry requirements, helping to bring their future goals into clearer focus.
In the lead-up to the Expo, our Year 11 and 12 students also enjoyed visits to some of Victoria's leading universities and TAFEs, including Monash University, the University of Melbourne, RMIT University, Swinburne University, Victoria University, Holmesglen Institute, Chisholm Institute, Federation University and Deakin University. These experiences gave students an authentic insight into campus life and the many opportunities available beyond secondary school, encouraging them to think confidently about the next stage of their educational journey.
Together, these experiences provide our students with the knowledge, inspiration and confidence to make informed decisions about their future. We are proud to offer opportunities that connect learning with life beyond the classroom and empower every student to pursue a pathway that is meaningful to them.
Thank you to our staff, tertiary partners and families for their enthusiastic support in making this year's Futures Expo such a valuable and successful event. We look forward to seeing our students take the next exciting step in their educational journey.
Year 12 Students Begin Their VTAC Journey
As our Year 12 students look ahead to life beyond secondary school, they are now actively researching and discussing their post-school options with their campus Careers and Pathways Advisor. Over the coming weeks, students will begin submitting their applications through the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC) for university courses and, in most cases, TAFE diploma programs.
The VTAC application system opens on Monday 3 August and closes on Monday 28 September. Students are encouraged to submit their applications early to ensure they have plenty of time to carefully consider their course preferences. The application fee is $83, which includes the initial application, unlimited changes of preference and participation in the offer rounds.
A significant milestone for our Year 12 students will be the release of their ATARs on Thursday 10 December, followed by the opportunity to review and confirm their VTAC preferences before offers are made.
Our Careers and Pathways team will continue to provide comprehensive support throughout Term 3, assisting students with course research, application preparation and career planning. Additional support will also be available during the ATAR release and VTAC Change of Preference period to ensure every student has the guidance they need to make informed decisions about their future.
We encourage students and families to take advantage of this support and wish our Year 12 students every success as they prepare for this exciting next chapter.
Conservation Science Careers Webinar

All interested secondary school students and university undergraduates are invited to join Bush Heritage Australia's online event on the eve of National Science Week 2026 - Conservation Science Careers.
This virtual event offers the opportunity for students to connect with, learn from and be inspired by field professionals in conservation science.
Individual students are welcome to register, along with course managers or subject teachers who would like to bring a class or group together to join the event.
Swinburne Engineering Info Session

You’ll get a breakdown of our different majors, hear about scholarships, and visit some of the labs used by engineering students. We’ll also have current students sharing their experiences – including why they chose Swinburne for engineering.

- a 60-minute presentation on the Bachelor of Engineering, including a Q&A
- networking with Swinburne staff, students and industry partners
- a look at our Smart Structures and Digital Construction labs
- complimentary light refreshments.
Swinburne Health Info Session
