Futures Day

This week we have begun preparing for 2027 with our annual Futures Day. Students in years 8-10 spent the day looking at subject options and pathways for 2027. Year 11 and 12 students had the opportunity to visit tertiary education providers across Melbourne such as Monash University, Chisholm TAFE, Melbourne University, RMIT and Deakin University. A big thank you to all staff who facilitated the events and a special thank you to Andew Mitchell and Robyn Cardamone for their organisation.

Tuning in to Teens™

Supporting young people through the ups and downs of adolescence can be both rewarding and challenging. For the first time at St Peter’s College we are pleased to offer parents and carers the opportunity to participate in Tuning in to Teens™, an evidence-based parenting program designed to strengthen family relationships and support young people's emotional wellbeing.

The program helps parents develop our skills as parents/carers to better understand, communicate with, and respond to their teenager's emotions. Through practical strategies and guided discussions, participants learn how to build stronger connections, reduce conflict, and support their child's resilience and mental health.

We encourage parents and carers of adolescents to take advantage of this valuable opportunity. Further information, including program dates and registration details, can be found below. We look forward to partnering with you to support the wellbeing and success of our young people.

Uniform

As we continue to foster a positive and respectful learning environment, there is an increasing focus on maintaining high standards of school uniform. Wearing the uniform correctly promotes a sense of pride, belonging, and identity within our school community, while also reinforcing the values of responsibility and professionalism.

We ask parents and carers to support this focus by ensuring students attend school each day in the correct uniform, including approved footwear and accessories. Consistent expectations help create a learning environment where all students can feel connected and ready to learn. We appreciate your partnership in upholding these standards and thank you for your ongoing support.

A reminder that the guidelines and uniform shop opening hours can be found here.
