Start the Day Strong: Before-School Running Program 🏃♂️
We’re excited to introduce a new before-school physical activity program designed to help students start their day feeling energised, active, and positive!
Launching with Year 5/6 students, the program will provide a fun and supportive environment where students can focus on improving their own personal best, building confidence, and enjoying being active with friends. It will also give students the chance to develop their running skills as they prepare for the Term 3 Athletics Carnivals.
The goal is simple: to encourage students to move more, have fun, and develop a lifelong enjoyment of physical activity.
📅 When: Tuesdays from 8:15am
📍 Where: The school running track
🚀 Starting: Week 3 until Week 10 of Term 3
Let’s get moving, set goals, and celebrate every step forward! 🌟
This program is run by Year 5/6 Teacher Miss Stelling, students should come see her for more information. A link has been shared with families of Year 5/6 to ensure families are aware of their child’s attendance.

National Tree Planting Day
On Friday last week, all the Year 5/6s went to Wattle Grove to plant trees for national tree planting day.
The council of Glen Eira was there to help us plant the trees and showed us how to use the tools. The types of tools we used were hamiltons, trowel and hoedad. We split into groups and started to plant trees.
We learnt so much about native trees and planted a variety of trees which was very cool.
Thanks to the council for setting this all up for us.
