Chess Club Inter-School Tournament

On 24 June, Darcy H, Jack H, Jun K, Jeremy S and Kei K competed on behalf of Ormond Primary as part of the Chess Club Inter-School Tournament.

The team did really well with Ormond placing 9th - a massive improvement from 16th last year. Check Mate!

A note from Lyndal - Darcy and Jack H's Mum:

Darcy and Jack H were both exhausted after playing 7 matches each - Darcy won 3, lost 1 and drew 3, and Jack won 1, drew 3 and lost 3.

Lots of chess was played in Mooloolaba over the holiday as well. We love seeing how much they enjoy it and they’re doing chess club again this term.

Talent Quest

At the end of Term 2 we held our annual talent quest. Adriaan B did well to win one of the beginner sections.
