PRINCIPAL'S REPORT

Dear Thistlelonians, 

It is an honour to again address you as Principal of McKinnon and I take pleasure in sharing with you some of the amazing events that have taken place since our last publication.

I am thrilled to say for the second year in a row we were the number 1 non-selective government school in Victoria

Our school continues to thrive with outstanding results last year in the VCE success and also with excellent NAPLAN results in 2025.

Thank you for forging the path of excellence.  We continue to strengthen our ties with our Alumni and we are proud to link with the common purpose of academic excellence for our young people and an engaging and positive school experience.  

SCHOOL NUMBERS/POPULATION

The total student population for 2025 is 3,057. We have 316 teaching and Education Support staff, 49 of whom are ex-students.
