CLASS CATCH UPS

If you and your classmates get together, we would love to receive photos of the group for publishing in the newsletter and Facebook Group. 

Photos should be labelled so that others will recognise their classmates whom they may not have seen for some time.

BEST FRIENDS REUNITED

We love hearing how the Thistlelonian network helps old friends reconnect across time and distance. Below is a wonderful message we received from Ken Bolt, showing the lasting impact of our reunions, photos and annual magazine.

Dear Melanie,

You may recall back in February 2023 you wrote to me advising that a friend of mine, Graeme Blumfield had contacted you seeking my address details. He had seen my photo in the Thistlelonian Facebook magazine following my attendance at the 2022 reunion (class of 1962).

I am delighted to tell you that as a result of your notification Graeme and I recently met up. Graeme lives permanently in Thailand with his wife Noi. They have two beautiful daughters one resides in Hawaii the other in Bali. 

In October I traveled to Thailand and met with Graeme. We flew to Nusa Lembongan (Bali) and stayed with his daughter at her resort; then back to Thailand to his home. 

Graeme was my best friend growing up and my best man at my wedding. We had not seen each other for over 50 years. It was a great experience (both of us are approaching 80) and one I will treasure. 

It shows the power of the Thistlelonians. Melanie once again thanks from us both.
