ACARA Item Trial Allocation 

In May and June 2026, samples of Year 3, 5, 7, and 9 students in schools across Australia will participate in the ACARA Item Trial, one of the assessments within the National Assessment Program.

Each year, a small number of schools across Australia are selected to participate in the Item Trial and this year we have been selected. Selected classes in Years 7 and 9 will participate on Friday 29th May.

The testing is conducted by external examiners; however students will not receive results of this testing. It does not impact any of the NAPLAN testing that has already taken place this year.
