YEAR 10 MEDIA

Year 10 Media students took part in an engaging excursion to ACMI and the Top Arts exhibition at Federation Square on Friday, 8 May, as part of their study of media, visual storytelling and creative production unit.
The excursion gave students the opportunity to explore ACMI’s exhibitions and deepen their understanding of how screen culture, film, photography, digital media, animation and interactive technologies shape the way audiences experience stories.
The visit provided embedded learning opportunities by connecting classroom concepts with real-world examples of media production and creative practice.
Throughout the day, students examined how media creators use codes and conventions, composition, narrative, sound, image and audience positioning to communicate meaning.
The excursion supported the Year 10 Media curriculum by providing valuable exposure to contemporary media practices, creative industries and senior pathways in the arts and media fields.
