VCE Exams and Unit 2 Exams

The theme of the Senior School has been exams and then exams!

VCE Exams

After four weeks of exams, our Year 12 Japanese Language students were the last to sit their VCE exam.  Throughout the last four weeks, the Year 12 study centre has been abuzz with students quizzing each other, seeking assistance from their peers and the tutors in preparation for their exams.  Even the negative press surrounding the VCE exams has not dulled their enthusiasm.  The boys are to be congratulated for their approach to their studies, with many focused on putting in 100 per cent effort to ensure that they can finish out the year with no excuses and no regrets.  Results are due out on 12 December, with first-round university offers following on from this in the new year.

Unit 2

Last Friday, the Year 11 students completed their English exams, starting off their Unit 2 exams which will conclude tomorrow (Thursday).  Whilst not as high stakes as the VCE exams, they still represent an excellent opportunity for the boys to gain skills and experience that will hold them in good stead for next year.  In the lead up to the exams, they received guidance around planning and effective revision strategies to put into action.  The exam period itself is deliberately designed with a full lesson in the middle of the day in which the boys are expected to attend class where they have an opportunity to engage in supervised study.
