YEAR 12 NEWS

Welcome Back Year 12 - Class of 2026
It has been an absolute pleasure to begin my journey at Wyndham College as your new Deputy Principal. Over the past days, I have greatly enjoyed meeting so many of our students and already feel inspired by your energy, maturity and commitment to your learning. Wyndham College students clearly take pride in their school, and that has been wonderful to see firsthand.
I would also like to sincerely thank the staff for the incredibly warm welcome I have received. The collegiality, professionalism and genuine care for students that I have observed reflect a strong and supportive learning community. I am truly excited to be joining such a dedicated team and to contribute to the outstanding work already happening across the college.
It is evident that Wyndham College provides rich learning opportunities and high-quality support for students as they prepare for their futures. I look forward to working alongside you all as we continue to build on this success.
Year 12 Assessment Tasks & Blocks
As we enter Week 4 of Term 1, a reminder to our Year 12 students that HSC Assessment Task 2 notifications will be issued in sessions across this week. Please ensure you read these carefully and seek clarification from your teachers if required.
Your dedicated assessment blocks where tasks are due were included in the Assessment Booklets you received in Term 4 last year. This is a great opportunity to start planning your tasks – look at when they are due and work backwards to ensure that you leave yourself enough time to work on each task with equal focus and dedication.
Attendance
Since starting at Wyndham, I have been so impressed with the high level of support that is available for all our students. I want to remind students to access either the library or the Hub during their study sessions. Signing in to these spaces at the start of your study period is important but staying and taking the time to revise or to complete assessment tasks is the smart way to utilise this time you have in the middle of your school day.
Uniform
I have been so impressed with the commitment of our students to showcase their pride for our school by constantly wearing uniform. While the weather has been unpredictable lately, I would like to remind students that they should pop into the office and see me if they require any support with their uniform.
I look forward to continuing to meet more members of our college community in the coming weeks.
Manvir Singh - Deputy Principal (Rel)
