Welcome Year 11
Student Voice by Arzoo Moradi (Year 12)
Starting at a new school can be both exciting and challenging, particularly as students adjust to new routines, expectations, and environments. Over the past few weeks, we spoke with some of our new Year 11 students to learn what has helped them navigate this transition and what makes school feel welcoming and supportive.
Most of the students I spoke to said they really enjoy school because it feels like a positive and supportive place. Many talked about the study skills sessions, the Learning Hub, and other quiet and comfortable learning spaces where they can focus, get work done, or simply feel relaxed. Others mentioned appreciating the comfortable classrooms, the library with its wide variety of books, and fun initiatives such as the Breakfast Club pancakes. Students also highlighted the wide range of sports, clubs, and extracurricular activities, which have helped them make friends and develop a sense of belonging within the school community.
Online Safety
Wyndham College proudly supported the Safer Internet Day on 10 February 2026, which is a Global Day of Action focused on raising awareness about staying safe online. We rely on the internet in so many parts of our daily lives, which makes online safety more important than ever. By following the eSafety Commissioner's top 5 tips, we can all help make the internet a safer, more positive place for everyone.
