Health & PE

It was a wet Health and PE session this week however we did not let that stop us from being active, practising our skills and enjoying ourselves! We ventured indoors to Dhelkunya where our F/1 students engaged in more fun PMP activities and our mid to senior students enjoyed some basketball focused skills and games.
Our Grade 4/5/6 group were fortunate to be able to venture outside for a game of basketball due to a break in the rain. Wonderful teamwork and terrific skills work were shown! Well done to all students on adapting to the changed venue. We all prefer our outdoor PE spaces but we are fortunate to have this space to use when needed!
Students are looking forward to finishing this term off with an exciting dance unit, commencing next week, and a fun games session as an end of term reward for their fantastic participation and learning throughout the semester.
Cross Country
Congratulations to Clancy and Alastair who participated in the Region Cross Country Event held on Tuesday this week in St Arnaud – what an achievement for you both! We hope you enjoyed the experience! Well done to Clancy who is off to the next round, the State Cross Country event! We wish you all the very best.
Cross country running is both challenging and incredibly rewarding. More than just a run, it teaches resilience, determination, the confidence to tackle difficult things and the belief that we are indeed capable of doing hard things.
AFLW Richmond Player Visit
This Tuesday, 2nd June, we welcomed some special visitors to St Mary’s — AFLW Richmond players! The players lead a super Q&A session with our students who were all highly engaged and had many questions.
It is always a wonderful opportunity to have athletes visit our school. They are fantastic role models for our students, inspiring them through their passion, perseverance, and commitment to following their dreams and achieving their goals.
