Music

We are incredibly proud of the year 5/6 students who recently participated in a range of community performances; demonstrating leadership, musical talent, and our St Mary's values in action.
One group visited the local public library, where they read stories and sang songs with our lower grades as part of the National Simultaneous Story time.
A group travelled to the Berkeley Street Kindergarten to sing and read in the 3 and 4 year old room.
Another group of students shared their stories and songs with our Foundation/Year 1 class, it was a very special experience for our younger learners. We also have one more group preparing to perform, and we look forward to celebrating their efforts in the coming weeks.
The response from our audiences was overwhelmingly positive. The children thoroughly enjoying the stories, songs, and interactions with our students. Our student leaders were also buzzing with a post performance high; the thrill of such a happy and engaged audience, together with the satisfaction (and relief!) of a job well done is a sweet combination indeed.
These performances provided wonderful opportunities for our students to support each other, share their musical skills, extend their performance capabilities, and connect with members of our wider community. Their conduct was a credit to themselves, their families, and our school.
