Principal's Message

Dear Families,
As we move through another wonderful term, it is a pleasure to reflect on the many enriching experiences our students have enjoyed in recent weeks and to share some important reminders for Week 8.
Our Grade 5/6 students have continued to participate enthusiastically in the P4P (Pathways for Participation) program led by Bron from Castlemaine Health. We are proud of the positive attitudes and commitment they have demonstrated throughout the program.
On Tuesday, Livinia, Fletcher, Grace and Ella from Grade 5/6 accompanied Mrs Cheesman on a visit to Castlemaine Kindergarten. The students shared stories and songs with the kindergarten children and were warmly thanked for their engaging storytelling and singing. It was a wonderful opportunity for our students to demonstrate leadership and confidence while building connections with younger members of our community. The visit was an enriching experience for everyone involved and by all accounts, the visit was very much appreciated by the kinder students!
Students were also excited to welcome some Richmond AFLW players to our school on Tuesday. The visit provided an inspiring opportunity to learn about perseverance, teamwork, healthy lifestyles and the dedication required to compete at an elite level. Students thoroughly enjoyed the session and the opportunity to ask questions and hear about the player's journey.
Our participation in the Stormbirds Program continues to support students' social and emotional wellbeing. Through meaningful discussions and activities, students are developing important skills in resilience, emotional regulation, positive relationships and self-awareness.
As a Catholic school community, we continue to encourage students to live out our Gospel values through kindness, compassion and service to others. It is always pleasing to see students supporting one another and contributing positively to our school community.
A big congratulations to Alistair and Clancy who competed at the Regional Athletics competition last week! We are proud of your efforts and resilience.

Staff News
You may be aware that our fantastic Visual Arts teacher Anita has been away for a few weeks. Anita has been away supporting her family after an accident that took place some weeks ago. Please keep Anita and her family in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this challenging time. We look forward to welcoming Anita back to school when the time is right. We have had our regular CRT Brooke taking the Visual Art lessons in Anita's absence and the children are continuing some fantastic learning and creativity in their weekly classes.
Thank you for your continued support of our school and parish community. Together, we continue to nurture a learning environment where every child is known, valued and encouraged to flourish.
Have a lovely long weekend and we will see you back at school on Tuesday 9th June!
