Our Warinj group has been very engaged in the program recently. Through our indoor program, we have been enjoying exploring mini beasts such as bees and ladybugs through stories, small world play, and art and craft experiences. We loved creating our own bumble bees and ladybugs using a variety of art and craft materials and resources. It has been incredible to see the children’s focus, engagement, and pride throughout the process. The children have also been engaging creatively with playdough and loose parts, using their imaginations to create a range of different ideas and designs. As always, the “Little Clinic” has been a very popular area within our indoor program. The children have loved acting out the roles of doctors and caregivers as they cared for babies, checked patients, and worked together in their play. This type of dramatic play has encouraged rich conversation, communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills.

Outdoors, the children have been very active as they practised and strengthened their gross motor skills. Jumping, monkey bars, swings, and slides continue to be very popular choices, providing wonderful opportunities to support children’s vestibular and proprioceptive development, which are so important for early childhood development.

  • Please label all clothing and containers
  • As the weather is cooling, please ensure children have a warm jacket as we will still go outside
