Week 6

This week at OSHC we wrapped up our final week of our Move Masters theme before we head into our exciting new Taste Trek adventures next week! It has been wonderful seeing the children so engaged in all of our movement, teamwork, and creative experiences throughout the term.

Our Breakfast Club menu kept everyone fueled for the mornings with delicious milkshakes, breakfast muffins, yoghurt cones, our brand new pancake muffins, and refreshing berry smoothie pops. In the afternoons, our Snack Squads enjoyed making and sharing DIY sushi bowls, chicken noodles, udon stir fry, spaghetti, and a classic cracker and dip platter.

The children also explored plenty of creative and sensory experiences this week including 3D painting, keychain making, cardstock colouring activities, fluffy painting, giant water beads, and slime making. Our Brain Boosters encouraged teamwork and problem solving through group puzzles and boardgame tournaments.

For our active play, the children participated in dodgeball, mini yoga, 4 corners, soccer, tennis, cricket, and many of their favourite group games with friends. It has been a fantastic week full of fun, creativity, movement, and connection!

As we also begin recognising Reconciliation Week, we have introduced an Acknowledgement of Country during our afternoon group times. Children have been encouraged to take turns reading the acknowledgement aloud each day, helping to build their understanding of respect, inclusion, and the importance of recognising the Traditional Custodians of the land. It has been wonderful to see the children confidently engaging in this meaningful daily practice together.

Pupil Free Day

There is a Pupil Free Day on Friday 05 June 2026.

MOUNT PLEASANT ROAD VIC OSHCLUB will be open from 7.00am to 6.00pm for any families who want to book in.

To book, log in to your Parent Portal and select the Pupil Free Day Room.

Please Bring:

• Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea
• Appropriate footwear and clothing (including a hat) for your child

Important to Note:

• The session fee is $72.94 (before any applicable Child Care Subsidy).
• Bookings can not be made online within 48 hours of the session commencing.
• All regular Before and After School Care bookings have been removed for this date.
• To avoid out-of-pocket costs, cancellation of a Pupil Free Day booking must be made at least 7 days before the session start time.
• A $4.17 late booking fee applies for bookings made within 5 days of the session commencing.

Enrolling Your Child

For new enrolments, please go to https://www.oshclub.com.au/register/

A helpful video for navigating the iParent Portal and completing the enrolment process can be found on this page.

Please note: CRN numbers and all birth dates must be entered correctly if you wish to claim the Child Care Subsidy. CCS applications are submitted automatically to Centrelink when new enrolments are actioned. 

Bookings

Online bookings for Rise then Shine and Stay and Play sessions close 24 hours in advance. Online bookings for the Holiday Program and Curriculum Days close 5 days in advance. 

If online bookings have closed, and you would like to make or cancel a booking, please SMS the program phone on 0427 144 945.

Cancellation of Bookings

IMPORTANT: If your child is booked in for an afternoon Stay and Play session and that booking is no longer required, please cancel the booking on the iParent Portal. If you are cancelling on the day, please contact us on the program phone before 3:25pm to avoid a non-notified absence fee of $20.00 per child. 

We are responsible for all children booked into our care. If a child does not arrive after school care when booked in to attend, we will need to confirm the whereabouts of the child by contacting parents/guardians and emergency contacts. If we cannot successfully do this, it then becomes a missing child incident. 

As you can imagine, this can be very stressful! 

Thanks for your cooperation by notifying us of any Stay and Play absences.
