Penola's Battle of the Bands

Performing Arts News

Four bands from Reservoir took part in Penola's Battle of the Bands, each performing a song that fit the event's '90s music theme. Though the initial soundcheck on Penola's stage was filled with nervous energy, the students came alive during their performances. The audience's cheers and applause echoed throughout the venue as they sang and clapped along with each band. A special congratulations goes out to Rick Nevrous, who received an award from Penola for his incredible guitar playing and singing.

Congratulations to the following bands:

Youth Amplified who performed 'Buddy Holly', Weezer

The Voodoo Dolls who performed 'Let's Kiss', Wendy Matthews

The Reverse of Usual  who performed 'Don't Look Back in Anger', Oasis

Red Road Sign who performed 'That Don't Impress Me Much', Shania Twain
