Book Week 2025 – Book an Adventure

This year’s Book Week was one for the storybooks! The library was transformed with a brand-new backdrop – a breathtaking fantasy library that spilled into a glowing forest, complete with an enchanting path that looked suspiciously like it might lead to Narnia, Hogwarts… or maybe just the photocopier.

Students were swept up in the magic with a Scavenger Hunt that sent them dashing around the school in search of hidden codes and clues tucked away in buildings, yards, and even bookshelves (yes, people actually opened books for once!). It was part adventure, part detective work, and part "Why is there a mysterious note stuck on the front door to the school?"

Next came the Book-Themed Trivia, where the competition was fiercer than a librarian guarding the “Staff Only” cupboard. Teams battled it out for great prizes, answering questions that ranged from "easy if you actually read" to "did they just make that up?"

And of course, we wrapped things up with the grand finale: the Costume Parade in the library. Suddenly, the shelves were filled with wizards, warriors, fairy-tale creatures and at least two Dorothys and Two Red Riding hoods and not a Harry Potter in site. The parade proved once again that while not everyone reads the same books, everyone looks excellent in a cape.

Book Week reminded us that reading isn’t just magic – it’s adventurous, hilarious, and sometimes comes with chocolate prizes.
