Billy Main – School Sport Australia Swimming

Congratulations to Billy, who proudly represented NSW at the School Sport Australia Championships, claiming an outstanding silver medal in the 50m Backstroke.

In an incredibly close race, Billy missed out on the gold medal by just 0.15 seconds. While it wasn’t quite a personal best, earning a national silver medal while representing NSW is a fantastic achievement.

Year 7 AFL Gala Day

Our Year 7 students travelled to Jelbart Park to compete against local border schools in the Year 7 AFL Gala Day. Trinity selected both a boys’ and girls’ team of 12, with both sides representing the College brilliantly throughout the day.

For many of our girls, this was their first experience playing competitive AFL, and they embraced the opportunity to pull on the Trinity colours. The girls played some very competitive football, including the ultimate grudge match against Scots, where they narrowly went down by just one goal. Rayne Rampal and Indi Ford were standouts throughout the day and consistently led the way for the girls.

The new crop of Year 7 boys had an outstanding day, finishing undefeated. After taking on three different Xavier teams, the boys were disappointed to see Scots were not included in their original schedule. Fortunately, organisers were able to arrange an additional game between the two cross-town rivals.

With both Trinity and Scots undefeated heading into the match, the game quickly became the unofficial Grand Final of the Gala Day. Both schools treated it accordingly, with plenty of intensity and school pride on display. Trinity produced a fantastic performance to come away with a convincing four-goal victory and finish the day undefeated.

Duke Leslie was among Trinity’s best performers throughout the day, while Louie Menz was outstanding and consistent across the back line.

A big thank you to Mr McKimmie and Ms Boyd for their efforts coaching and supporting our teams throughout a fantastic day of AFL.

Scots vs Trinity Basketball Selections

The following students have been selected to represent Trinity in our Annual Basketball Challenge against Scots.

The rivalry between Trinity and Scots runs deep across all sports, but perhaps nowhere more so than on the basketball court. This annual fixture is our opportunity to put our strongest teams on the floor, compete across all age groups and ultimately battle for the overall honours as the leading basketball program.

The day always brings plenty of intensity, school pride and competitive basketball, and we look forward to another exciting chapter in the Trinity–Scots rivalry.

Indi Prince – Rugby Honours

Congratulations to Indi, who continues to achieve outstanding results in rugby.

Indi has been selected in the Brumbies U16 Girls team to compete at the upcoming XVs tournament in Sydney on 19–20 September. This is a fantastic achievement and an exciting opportunity for her to represent the Brumbies against some of the best young rugby talent in the country.

Adding to her recent success, Indi was also named the Southern Sports Academy Female Rugby Athlete of the Year at the SSA Annual Awards Night last Friday. This award recognises her performances, commitment and continued development within the sport.

Congratulations to Indi on two outstanding achievements. We wish her all the best as she prepares to represent the Brumbies in Sydney!
