Welcome to Hillsmeade!

A warm welcome to our following new staff members!
Anjana Wickremasinghe-Prep A Teacher
I am thrilled to join the school community as your new Prep A classroom teacher. I have spent most of my career teaching primary and secondary classrooms and specialist subjects across both Australia and Sri Lanka. I hope my diverse background and passion for education will enrich our students' learning journeys. Outside of work, I love spending quality time with kids, diving into a good book and playing the piano. I can't wait to get to know everyone!
Lorraine Huang-6E Teacher
Hi everyone, I’m Lorraine and I’m so excited to be joining Hillsmeade as a Year 6 teacher. I’ve previously worked in primary school settings teaching Chinese across a range of year levels, and I love helping students build confidence and enjoy their learning. Outside of school, I enjoy travelling, trying new cafés, going to concerts and spending time with friends. I’m really looking forward to getting to know the students, staff and wider Hillsmeade community.
Fiona Porteous-Education Support
Hi everyone, my name is Fiona-Aka(Fifi)
I'm a proud mother of three children and a very lucky Nana to three beautiful grandbabies, who are my pride and joy. I love them to the moon and back.
I love footy and basketball, and I get very excited watching the footy! At the moment, I’m not enjoying it as much, especially when the Tigers are losing!
Before coming to Hillsmeade, I worked in the NDIS and mental health sector, which I found very rewarding and enjoyable.
I'm someone who enjoys life, loves spending time with family and friends, and likes making the most of every day.
While I've really enjoyed my previous work, I'm looking forward to this new adventure with the Hillsmeade team and getting to know everyone.
Matt McAuliffe-Education Support
Hi everyone! My name is Matt. Before joining Hillsmeade I worked at JB Hi-Fi. I’m currently studying teaching and I'm excited to continue learning and growing in the education field.
Outside of work and study, you’ll usually find me on the basketball court—I love playing basketball and staying active whenever I can. I’m looking forward to getting to know everyone and being part of such a wonderful school community!
Tanycia Tait-Education Support
It is so lovely to be back at Hillsmeade primary school! I was so grateful to get the opportunity to learn as much as possible from my previous employment. I am hoping to take the skills I’ve learnt to help benefit the students at Hillsmeade. In my spare time I love playing netball and being at the beach with my puppy.
