Assembly Performance
Congratulations to our Music Extension students, Hazel Lo, Tiffany Lee and Lucija Wiggins, on their beautiful performance of Dancing Queen at the Academic Awards Assembly. Their confidence, musicality and stage presence were on full display, captivating the audience and adding a special touch to the occasion.
It has been wonderful to witness their growth as musicians throughout the year. The maturity of their playing, the strength of their ensemble skills and their ability to connect with an audience continue to develop with each performance. Their rendition of this much-loved classic showcased not only their individual talents but also the dedication, perseverance and passion they bring to their music-making. We are incredibly proud of their achievements and look forward to seeing their musical journeys continue to flourish.
Dance Classes
Irish dancing classes for all students:
- Day: Wednesday afternoons from Week 2
- Location: Drama Room
- Time: 3:15pm to 4:00pm
Dance Troupe for experienced dancers Year 5 and above:
- Day: Monday mornings from Week 3
- Location: Drama Room
- Time: 7:00am to 8:00am
Brisbane Irish Fest
Our dancers recently performed at the Brisbane Irish Fest, hosted at the College on Saturday 27 June. Many of our dancers were performing for the first time and all involved represented the College with great enthusiasm and skill.
A special mention to our experienced dancers:
- Kylan Devlin - First Place
- Harlo Devlin - Podium Finish
Recently, Kylan and Harlo achieved remarkable results as soloists at an international level competition, with Kylan securing 2nd place and Harlo achieving an impressive 4th place at the Australian International Oireachtas.
