Beyond what promises to be a fantastic community celebration, On the Green also creates an extraordinary learning opportunity for our students. Through the generous support of our Clayfield College Foundation and their Opportunities of Excellence Program, students will participate in an exclusive open rehearsal and Q&A with Ben Lee, before experiencing the thrill of performing alongside one of Australia's most celebrated musicians. It is an experience that reflects our commitment to providing exceptional opportunities beyond the classroom.

This year’s event is shaping up to be an incredible afternoon of music, food and family fun and we look forward to seeing your family on Sunday 2 August.

Volunteers Needed!

The P&F Association is seeking volunteers to help serve and sell beverages at the main bar at On the Green on Sunday 2 August. Whether you’re available for an hour or can stay a little longer, every bit of help is truly appreciated.

No prior experience is needed and it’s a great way to get involved, meet other families, and support the event!

This year, we are delighted to welcome acclaimed Australian singer-songwriter Ben Lee as our headline artist. With a career spanning more than three decades, Ben has become one of Australia’s most enduring and beloved musicians. From his breakthrough success with Catch My Disease to fan favourites including Gamble Everything for Love and We’re All In This Together, his music has connected with audiences across generations through its infectious melodies, thoughtful lyrics and uplifting spirit.

A constantly evolving artist, Ben continues to explore new creative avenues, including performing as his alter ego DJ Dad Bod, bringing a fun and nostalgic party atmosphere to audiences. Guests at On the Green can look forward to an unforgettable evening as Ben showcases both his celebrated songwriting and the infectious energy that has made him a favourite on Australian stages for more than 30 years.

We are proud to announce that several of our choir groups will have the extraordinary opportunity to perform alongside Ben on stage.

Ciao Bella, Canzona and Ragazzi choirs will combine to join Ben for ‘Surrender’ as well as his popular hit ‘We’re all in this together’. Year 12 music students Reese Taylor and Ema Costello will accompany the performances on the trumpet and saxophone.

Senior Illuminate Music Students

Opening the event will be our talented Senior Illuminate Music Students. The Illuminate program at Clayfield College is an extension program that meets each week for a variety of subjects. There are six students in the Illuminate Music program who come together to form a rock band that develops practical musicianship by learning electric guitar, bass, drum kit, voice and keyboard. So far students have rehearsed in a small ensemble, locking into tempo, song form, and listening across parts. The students are very excited as On the Green will be their first ever live performance.
