Twilight is a Highlight!

The annual Twilight Market really is a highlight on the school calendar, and a fabulous chance to mingle and catch up with students, friends, families and staff.  It is a great way to end the school year, and I am so looking forward to being part of it all.

The SRC team have given a lot of consideration to SRC market stalls - and there's a surprise in store!  But SRC members not only run SRC projects at the market, they are hard at work to promote the market and will be hand-delivering flyers around the neighbouring streets in the lead up to the event.  On the day, the team also act as host to the independent market stallholders, helping them find their stall spaces and transfer stock etc from vehicles to site.  Throughout the night, they assist with site management and logistics - keeping tables clear of rubbish, moving bins, managing lost property, liaising with stallholders, directing the public, MC-ing the entertainment, managing announcements, participating in bands... and a whole lot more!   

And when the music stops, the team keeps on working, helping stallholders move out, packing equipment away, clearing any wayward rubbish, and returning all the spaces to be fit for purpose for the coming school week. Wow! We will all be exhausted by the end of the night!

So, if you see our SRC team members at the market - buzzing around in their hi-vis shirts - don't forget to give them a shout out for the monumental effort they are putting into the event - all so that we can celebrate our fabulous community!
