Project Compassion Fundraising Events 2026
Parents please be aware of the following class fund raising events in the coming weeks! Each year level from Years 1 to Year 6 will be applying their skills to organise and facilitate their own stall. Our stalls are student inspired and wide ranging, from bake stalls to second hand toy stalls. These stalls are operating on set dates, please see the dates, times and costs below. More information regarding class stalls will be sent out by classroom teachers.
Project Compassion Big Water Walk
We are taking part in the Big Water Walk because every person deserves access to clean, safe water. In many communities around the world, children and families must walk long distances every day just to collect water for drinking, cooking, and washing. This takes away time from school, work, and play, and often the water they collect is not even safe.
By doing the Big Water Walk, we choose to stand in solidarity with those who walk for hours each day. Our steps become a message of hope. Our fundraising helps support Caritas Australia’s Project Compassion, which works with communities to build water systems, improve health, and create opportunities for a better future.
We walk because:
Water is a basic human right.
No one should have to choose between safety, health, and education.
Together we can make a real difference for communities in need.
We walk so that others won’t have to.
The Big Water Walk will take place for Year 3 to Year 6 students on the 25th of March, and on the 27th of March for our Kindergarte to Year 2 students. The Big Water Walk will take place during Junior and Senior Sport times. Students will participate in fun, relay style activities, carrying water from one location to another. Your child will not require a change of clothes as they will not be getting wet. Students are to come to school wearing their faction shirt on their Big Water Walk date. We encourage students to bring in a coin donation on the day of the Big Water Walk to support Project Compassion.
