In Prep, we have been learning about letters and the sounds they make, with a focus this week on T and S. Students explored these letters through engaging language experiences, including a Teddy Bear Picnic for T and Sandpit Play for S. These hands-on activities helped bring the letters to life in a meaningful way. Students were actively involved in discussions, role play, and shared writing, confidently identifying beginning sounds and generating their own words. Through these experiences, they strengthened their phonemic awareness, built vocabulary, and developed confidence in applying their letter–sound knowledge in reading and writing.
