Welcome back to Term 4!
We hope all students and families enjoyed a relaxing break and are feeling refreshed for what promises to be another exciting and action-packed term. We have a number of wonderful sporting opportunities and events planned, and we look forward to seeing our students continue to challenge themselves, develop new skills and, most importantly, have fun along the way.
Our K-2 Learn to Swim program has been well underway, with Kindergarten and Year 1 students completing their swimming blocks. We hope our Year 2 students enjoy their swimming program next week. The intensive format provides students with a fantastic opportunity to participate in back-to-back swimming lessons across the week, and it is always wonderful to see the progress and confidence each child develops in such a short period of time. A huge thank you to Gould Swim Academy for the amazing work they do with our students and for supporting the development of their swimming skills.
Next Tuesday we have 90 Year 3 and 4 students representing the College at the NSW Stage 2 Netball Cup. This is an incredible opportunity for our students to try a new sport, compete, and experience the excitement of representing Trinity. We are also excited that these teams are being coached by our outstanding Year 6 student leaders, who continue to be fantastic role models for our younger students.
In Week 5, Scots are hosting our Junior Summer Sports Day at Scots. Our tennis and cricket players will have the opportunity to participate in a gala day against students from Scots. We will be holding trials for these in the upcoming weeks, so keep an eye out!
Week 6 brings one of the most enjoyable events on our calendar, the K-2 Swimming Carnival. This event allows students to showcase the skills they have been developing during their swimming blocks. Led by our wonderful Senior School students, the day provides K-2 students with the opportunity to participate in a wide range of activities, races and challenges. It is always a highlight of the year and a day filled with enthusiasm, and plenty of smiles.
In Week 7, students and staff will once again come together for the Trinity Gift. This exciting event sees the fastest boy and girl from each grade, Kindergarten through to Year 12, compete in an exciting handicap race. With the entire school lining the track to cheer them on!
We are looking forward to another fantastic term of Sport at Trinity.
