Snake Awareness Reminder

We would like to remind families that Trinity is located in a bushland setting and, as a result, wildlife such as snakes may occasionally be seen around the College grounds and surrounding areas.

This week, there have been several reports of snakes in the vicinity of the College, including sightings near the soccer fields and the front entrance area. While these sightings are infrequent, they serve as a timely reminder for everyone to remain alert, particularly when walking through grassed areas or bushland surrounds.

Many families park near the front of the College during drop-off and pick-up times, often with younger children who may not recognise the risks. We encourage parents and carers to ensure children stay on designated paths, avoid long grass and vegetation, and never approach or attempt to interact with wildlife.

The College grounds are regularly monitored and maintained, and any reported sightings are managed appropriately. If you or your child see a snake on or near the College grounds, please move away from the area and notify a staff member immediately.

Drop Off and Pick Up Zone

The safety of our students is our highest priority. To help maintain a safe and efficient traffic environment for all families, parents and carers are reminded that the Drop Off and Pick Up Zone is a designated no-parking area intended for the active loading and unloading of students only.

The zone is designed for brief stops to allow students to safely enter or exit a vehicle before the driver moves on promptly. It is not a waiting area.

As a guide, vehicles should remain in the Drop Off and Pick Up Zone for no more than 2 to 3 minutes. If your child is not ready for collection, or if you require additional time, please proceed to a designated parking space rather than waiting in the zone.

When vehicles remain in the zone for extended periods, congestion can occur, reducing visibility for pedestrians, increasing the risk of unsafe traffic movements, and creating delays for other families.

We ask drivers to:

  • Pull forward to the furthest available point in the Drop Off and Pick Up Zone.
  • Have students ready to enter or exit the vehicle promptly.
  • Remain with the vehicle at all times.
  • Move on immediately once students have been safely dropped off or picked up.
  • Use a designated parking space if waiting is required.

By keeping the Drop Off and Pick Up Zone moving, we can improve traffic flow, reduce congestion, and most importantly provide a safer environment for students, families and staff during our busiest times of the day.

Thank you for your cooperation and support in helping keep our school community safe.

Hay Fever Medication at School

With hay fever season well underway, Student Services has seen a significant increase in students requesting antihistamines to help manage hay fever symptoms during the school day.

If your child suffers from hay fever, we ask that suitable medication be provided to Student Services so it can be stored safely and administered by staff when required. Students should not carry medication in their pockets, bags or lockers.

If you would like to discuss your child's medication needs, please contact Student Services on 02 6049 4300.
