Senior School

Mrs Kathy Fletcher - Deputy Principal, Senior School

As educators, there are moments that remind us why schools are such special places. The truth is that students do remarkable things every day. Acts of kindness, perseverance, leadership and service happen regularly, often without fanfare. Occasionally, however, there are moments that stand out because they so clearly reflect the very best of who our young people are.

This was certainly the case with our Year 11 Relay for Life Charity Event. It was a privilege to watch students plan, organise and host this wonderful evening, demonstrating initiative, teamwork and a genuine commitment to supporting others. In particular, I would like to acknowledge Grace Castello, Audrey Biles and Sam Howland, whose leadership throughout the process was outstanding. Their energy, organisation and dedication were simply remarkable.

To then attend the Relay for Life event over the weekend and see so many of our students actively engaged in raising funds and awareness for such an important cause was incredibly inspiring. This is what living our College values looks like in action. It was a wonderful reminder that our students are capable of making a meaningful difference in the lives of others, and I could not be prouder of this group of young men and women. I encourage you to read more about the event in this edition of the newsletter.

I would also like to congratulate the Class of 2026, who have now commenced their HSC examinations. They have approached this important milestone with maturity, focus and determination, and we are incredibly proud of the dedication they have shown throughout their studies. While there are still two weeks remaining in the examination period, they have made an impressive start and we wish them every success as they continue through their final examinations.

As you read through this edition of the newsletter, I hope you share in the pride we feel as a school community and enjoy celebrating the many achievements, experiences and acts of service that continue to make Trinity such a special place.

Year 10 Wellbeing Expo

Our Year 10 students brought health and wellbeing to life at this year’s Wellness Expo, held in and around the MPH.

As part of their PDHPE studies, students explored the six dimensions of health: physical, social, emotional, mental, spiritual and intellectual. Working in groups, they researched one dimension and created interactive stalls to share what they had learned and highlight practical ways to support overall wellbeing.

The Expo was a great opportunity for students to put their learning into action, share ideas with their peers and explore how small, everyday choices can make a positive difference to health and happiness.

Well done to our Year 10 students on another successful and engaging Wellness Expo!

Final Chapel & Graduation Assembly

On Thursday 26 September, our Year 12 students gathered at St Matthew’s for a beautiful Chapel service, providing an opportunity to pause and reflect on their 13 years of schooling and the journey that has brought them to this milestone.
