Congratulations to our Year 5 and 6 students who represented the College at the Da Vinci Decathlon competition last Thursday. We are incredibly proud of the teamwork and perseverance that they demonstrated throughout the day. The finalised results of the top 16 schools in each discipline have been released, and we were thrilled to see our students feature. The Year 6 team placed an impressive equal 1st in Code Breaking and 3rd in English, while the Year 5 team placed 7th in Cartography, 12th in English, 8th in Science, 12th in Ideation and 16th in Legacy. Thank you to Ms Mazoudier for preparing the students for this wonderful experience.

Reports

Semester 1 reports will be made available via the TASS Parent Portal on Tuesday 23 June. This report captures important pastoral and academic information about your son’s progress thus far.

The Common Grade Scale shown below is used to report student achievement in primary years in all NSW schools. The Common Grade Scale describes performance at each of the five grade levels.

A large focus throughout this semester has been on teacher feedback in class and through assessments. Assessment Tasks are used to inform overall grades along with teacher professional judgement as part of student learning to track and monitor student progress. It is timely to reflect on assessment tasks that have gone home as we edge closer to Semester 1 reports being made available. Further information can be found here.
