Reconciliation Week
SPC Sport proudly celebrated Reconciliation Week during last Saturday’s home fixtures, with the day proving to be a tremendous success. All teams participated in an Acknowledgement of Country prior to their matches, while special ceremonies were conducted before the First XI and First XV fixtures. We extend our sincere thanks to the Identity Team for their efforts in organising and implementing these meaningful ceremonies, which provided an important opportunity for reflection, respect, and unity within our community.
Throughout the week, we also recognised and celebrated the announcement of our Firsts and Seconds Football, Tennis and Rugby teams. Students were presented with their playing jerseys for the season and were reminded of the privilege and responsibility that comes with representing St Patrick’s College. The jerseys represent far more than a uniform; they connect our current students to the proud history of Old Boys who have represented the College before them, while also inspiring future generations who will one day wear the same colours.
As we move into the middle stages of the Winter season, students continue to be encouraged to compete with determination, humility, and strong sportsmanship in every contest.
We wish all SPC teams the very best for their fixtures this weekend.

Rugby Update
The Rugby Program enjoyed a fantastic weekend of competition, highlighted by a dominant performance against our EREA rivals, St Pius X College. With victories in all but two matches, the results reflect a squad moving confidently in the right direction and building strong momentum early in the season.
A special acknowledgement goes to William M (Year 9), who made his First XV debut at outside centre. In a fast and physical encounter, William rose to the challenge superbly - crossing for a try on debut and contributing significantly to a commanding team win. An outstanding achievement and an exciting sign of what lies ahead for him.
Looking ahead, this coming weekend features multiple fixtures across several locations. Families and players are encouraged to allow ample travel time and maintain the same high level of commitment when representing the College away from home. Strong habits off the field support strong performances on it.
What a tremendous way to open our ISA Season. We look forward to many more successful results as the boys continue to work hard, support one another, and strive for excellence.
A friendly reminder that while Saturday 30 May states a bye week, only FIRST XV have a BYE.
ALL other teams will have a fixture against a GPS or CAS school or CCGS/ Redlands.

We also had some positive results amongst other teams playing unmatched fixtures, with our 13E and 13F teams recording excellent wins over St Aloysius’ College and Newington College.
