Blue, Black and Gold Dinner Dance
A highlight on the SPC calendar, the 2026 BBG Dinner Dance at Le Montage, once again proved to be a wonderful evening celebrating our vibrant school community.
The night was filled with both celebration and emotion, as it marked Dr Lavorato’s final BBG Dinner Dance as Principal of St Patrick’s College. On behalf of the SPC community, the Parents’ and Friends’ Association proudly presented Dr Lavorato with a beautiful blue pearl necklace in recognition of her outstanding leadership and dedication to the College.
A sincere thank you to Mr Adrian Byrne for his excellent work as emcee throughout the evening. Guests were thoroughly entertained as Dr Lavorato shared heartfelt and humorous reflections from her time as Principal, leaving the room in fits of laughter.
The dance floor remained full all night, with Rob Shehadie organising a special tribute to Dr Lavorato and her husband Tony in the centre of the dance floor.
DJ Charlie Brown kept the energy high with fantastic music that had everyone up and dancing throughout the evening.
The Parents’ and Friends’ Association also proudly recognised two dedicated mothers for their years of service to the school community:
Lina Bartorilla for 10 years of service
Belinda Barakat for 8 years of service.
Congratulations also to Tom, the lucky winner of the BBG Raffle!
With a wonderful atmosphere and strong sense of community spirit, the evening was a tremendous success and enjoyed by all who attended.
Year 8 Supporters’ Day Barbeque
Following the success of the BBG Dinner Dance, the Parents’ and Friends’ Association were back bright and early on Saturday morning to host the Year 8 Supporters’ Day Barbeque.
A huge thank you goes to our “golden boy” Nick, who not only impressed everyone with his dance moves on Friday night, but also arrived early Saturday morning to help set up and open the Breen Barbeque alongside Elena Ierado.
We also extend our appreciation to our dedicated regular volunteers who once again gave up their time to assist at the barbeque, despite the late finish the night before at the BBG Dinner Dance.
Our next barbeque will be held on 13 June. As several members of our P & F community will be away due to work commitments, we will be seeking additional volunteers to assist on the day. Your support is always greatly appreciated.
