9th Term 2 has commenced!

Welcome back to Term 2!

I hope the break provided time to rest and recharge. We look forward to a full and inspiring term ahead, filled with opportunities for learning, growth, and connection across our school community.

Please refer to our calendar for dates and details of the many events we have planned this term.

Honouring ANZAC Day

Our school community came together with pride and respect to commemorate ANZAC Day, marking an important occasion in our national calendar. It was heartening to see such a strong turnout from our students and families, reflecting the deep value we place on remembrance and community.

We are especially proud of our student leaders, who represented the school with dignity and maturity as they laid a wreath during the ceremony. An incredible moment during the service was when our students began signing the National Anthem (Auslan). This was led by Max in year 6 and all our students responded immediately. A very special moment that gathered lots of positive feedback from onlookers at the service.

Thank you to all who attended and supported this event. Your presence helped create a meaningful and reflective atmosphere as we honoured the service and sacrifice of those who have served our country.

2027 Enrolments are now open.

If you have a child starting school in 2027, then the time to enrol is now. It is important to follow the statewide timeline to enrol your child in prep. It is essential that we know our student numbers for next year soon, so we can begin planning for the new school year. Bittern Primary School is now using Student Insight which is an online process for student enrolments. Parents and carers can submit Foundation enrolment applications online from Monday 20th April. Mothers Day is just around the corner. In celebration of our Mothers, Grandmothers and special people we invite you to a Mothers Day walk and afternoon tea at Bittern PS from 2.15 - 3.15pm on Thursday 7th May 2026.

We are organising a special walk for you and your child/ren around our school and council land adjoining the school that includes a visit to our gardens and yarning circles and afternoon tea in the Multi purpose room.

Please do not bring your dogs. If the weather is unsuitable, we will be running activities and afternoon tea in the BER.

We encourage you to attend if possible. If you are unable to attend, your child will still participate in the walk accompanied by our friendly staff.

Please note that we are not having a Mothers Day stall this year. The staff and students have planned something a little different this year as a Mothers Day gift.

We hope to see you at this event!
