It has been a busy and exciting start to the term for sport at Mary MacKillop!
Last week:
We had our first SSV competition, with the Senior Boys Cricket team and our Year 7–10 Girls Cricket teams competing.
The senior boys team finished the day with one win and one loss, showing great effort and teamwork throughout their matches.
The Year 7 team had an outstanding showing, winning their first two matches convincingly before going down in their final game against strong opposition. Their confidence, skill and energy were a highlight of the day.
The Year 8 team also performed strongly, securing two solid wins and then narrowly missing out in a tightly contested final match. Their resilience and determination were evident right to the last ball.
The Year 9/10 team showed great fight across both matches, just falling short on each occasion. Despite the results, their effort, teamwork and commitment never wavered. Across all teams, there was an exceptional display of sportsmanship, encouragement and support for one another. A great day of cricket and an excellent representation of our school.
All teams represented the College with pride, showing outstanding sportsmanship and determination throughout the day.

Division Swimming
On Tuesday the 3rd of March our students represented the College with pride at the Division Swimming Carnival held at the Korumburra Outdoor Pool. It was a fantastic day of competition with our team finishing an outstanding 2nd overall!
Students demonstrated incredible determination in the pool, with multiple swimmers qualifying for the Regional Championships in Sale the following week. We wish them the very best as they continue to represent the College at the next level.
A special congratulations to our Age Champions and Runners-Up:

Regional Swimming House
On March 12, our Mary MacKillop swimmers travelled to Sale for the SSV Regional Swimming Championships and delivered an outstanding performance.
We are incredibly proud to announce that Mary MacKillop were crowned Overall Regional Champions! This is a fantastic achievement and a credit to the hard work and determination of our students.
Even more exciting, 10 of our swimmers have qualified for the SSV State Championships.
Congratulations to all students who competed and represented Mary MacKillop so proudly.

Coming up:
