Mr. John Ryan - Deputy Principal

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are writing to remind you of the importance of all students wearing the correct school uniform each day.

The commitment to wearing the correct uniform reflects pride in the College and reinforces positive expectations across all year levels. When senior students model these expectations consistently, it strengthens our whole-school culture.

We ask for your support in ensuring that your child attends school in full and correct uniform. This includes adhering to all guidelines regarding approved items and presentation.

Please be advised that uniform expectations will be consistently enforced. Breaches will be addressed according to the College process and will fall under the following categories:

  • Breach One: Item confiscated, handed into the office, and logged on SIMON
  • Breach Two: Item confiscated, handed into the office, logged on SIMON, followed by a phone call home and a note on PAM. Parent/carer required to collect the item(s)
  • Breach Three: Logged on SIMON, phone call home, note on PAM. Student may be sent home or alternative arrangements made
  • Further breaches: Logged on SIMON. A parent/student re-entry meeting required with the Deputy Principal – Wellbeing or Wellbeing Team Leader

Non-Removable Breaches

  • Breach Two: Logged on SIMON. A phone call and letter home
  • Breach Three: Logged on SIMON. Phone call home, note on PAM. Student sent home, or alternative arrangements made

We appreciate your ongoing support in maintaining high standards and ensuring all students represent the College with pride.

If you have any questions or require clarification regarding uniform expectations, please do not hesitate to contact the College.

Celebrating Harmony Week

Harmony Week celebration is held annually in March across Australia. It’s aimed at promoting diversity, respect and inclusiveness. This event is an excellent opportunity for parents to teach their children about different cultures, traditions and customs. The goal is to encourage everyone to appreciate and celebrate differences, and to promote a sense of community and belonging for all.

During Harmony Week, a number of events and activities are held to bring people from different cultures together. These activities include multicultural food festivals, cultural performances, art exhibitions and workshops. Participating in these events helps children to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the diverse communities that make up Australia.

We too will recognise Harmony Week with activities and prayers in homerooms. Thank you to Maydia Parry for her work in preparing these.

As a parent, you can engage your children in discussions about multiculturalism and encourage them to ask questions. Promoting a more harmonious and inclusive society can help children grow up with a greater appreciation for the richness and diversity of Australia's cultural landscape.

This Special Report aims to instil positive values and provide an opportunity to start a conversation with your child about diversity and multiculturalism.
