Welcome Back, Book Lovers!
Welcome back to school—and welcome back to the library! The shelves are dusted, the books are ready, and I can’t wait to see all of you back browsing, reading, and discovering new favourites.
Whether you’re hunting for an exciting adventure, a hilarious graphic novel, or a fascinating fact book, the library is the place to be! This year we’ll have brand-new books, reading challenges, book club catalogues and the book fair, and plenty of chances to explore your interests.
Stop by, say hello, and let’s make this a novel-worthy school year together!
BOOK CLUB
The first issue of the Scholastic Book Club catalogues for the year has been distributed to all students this week. Please take the time to have a look through and maybe buy a book or two!! Whenever you purchase through Book Club, 15% of your total order spend will be given back to the school in the form of Scholastic Rewards! For example, for every $10.00 spent on Book Club orders through the school, our school receives $0.50 in Rewards. These rewards quickly add up and are spent on books and educational items, building up classroom and library resources that benefit the entire school community.
For those of us that are new to ordering from Book Club, details are below to help you with this.
The due date for all orders is Friday, 13th Feb. This includes both LOOP orders and cash. Orders will arrive AFTER this date.
HOW PARENTS ORDER FROM BOOK CLUB
The parent ordering platform is called LOOP. Our website has many resources for parents to set up and order through LOOP.
Parents wishing to order products through Book Club can follow the following step-by-step instructions:
1. Log in, or create a new account at scholastic.com.au/LOOP
2. New parents can follow the Wizard to set up a child’s profile
3. Click the ORDER tab, and select the child’s school and Issue of Book Club
4. Select your child’s name
5. Enter the product item number from the Book Club catalogue
6. Apply promotional codes that children may have earned from previous Issues
7. Make a payment via credit card. Please note there is a surcharge of 1%.
8. Feel great about the Scholastic Rewards that have been earned for the school
Cash orders for Book Club are also accepted. Fill in the form at the back of the catalogue, pop the filled in order form and the money in an envelope and hand in to the school office or directly to Susan in the library.
