P.E. classes began last week, and it’s been great to see the students participating so enthusiastically!
Year 4-6 House Athletics/Athletics Trials Day
The House Athletics/Athletics Trials Day for Year 4-6 students is scheduled to take place at the Kyneton Showgrounds on Friday, February 27. The day is a chance for students to showcase the Athletics skills they have been learning this term, earn House Points for their House and to try out for a place on our District Athletics Team, while having a lot of fun in the process!
Thank you to the parents, grandparents and carers who have offered to help at this event.
Division Swimming
The Sandhurst/Goldfields Division Swimming Championships are being held in Bendigo on Friday, February 27. As this is a Division level competition the standard of competition is very high (i.e. for squad level swimmers). We are able to enter children who are in Year 3 and turn 9 or older this year directly into this event. To enter, your child must be able to meet or exceed the qualifying times below to avoid humiliation at this event. Students must be able to perform the strokes correctly e.g. breaststroke or butterfly, or they will be disqualified. If you think your child would be competitive at this level and would like to compete, please contact me (my work days are Tuesday to Friday) for further details. Entries close Friday, February 20.
