Beaut Blokes Breakfast
What a sensational morning we had celebrating the Beaut Blokes in our community last Thursday!
Thank you to all of the special people who joined us for breakfast and stayed for our F-4 classroom visits. We loved seeing all of your footy colours too!
A special word of thanks to all of the parent, staff and student volunteers who worked to make this event such a great success.
Father's Day Stall Thank You
Thank you to our many volunteers who organised and helped at last week's Father's Day Stall. Our students loved the opportunity to shop for their special people.
Lone Pine Ceremony
Our annual Lone Pine Ceremony was held in glorious sunshine and attended by our Year 5 and 6 students in addition to a number of Student Leaders and very special guests on Wednesday.
Our College was delighted to have Alwyn Drysdale in attendance, whose late husband, Bob, instigated the planting of the Lone Pine trees in the local district over two decades ago.
A number of Legatees and local dignitaries including the Hon. Peter Walsh MP and Christopher Sinclair of the Victoria Police Pipe Band, who played the Last Post and Reveille on the bagpipes, were also in attendance.
Two wreaths were laid during the ceremony and a beautiful crocheted wreath crafted by the Kyabram Yarn Bombers adorned the front of the lectern.
Students participated with great reverence, spoke with clarity and the Choir sang with gusto, with soloists being especially commended by the special guests.
Following the ceremony, a special Morning Tea was held, with each special guest invited to take home a student-made slouch hat filled with ANZAC biscuits to enjoy later on.
