From the Principal

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

I hope that the term has been a positive one for you and your family. It is hard to believe we are nearly at the end of Term 3.

Over the past few weeks, St Augustine's College has been buzzing with incredible events that truly highlight the strong community spirit that makes our College so special. I want to take a moment to extend my sincere thanks to everyone involved, from staff to students and families, for their dedication and hard work. Your commitment to creating a vibrant and engaging environment for our students has been inspiring.

Frozen Jr Production: We kicked off with the fantastic production of Frozen Jr. A special thanks to Chloe Grant and all those who brought this amazing show to life. It was a delight to see so many parents attend and support our talented young actors. Their hard work, combined with the encouragement from the College community, made the event an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.

Book Week: Our annual Book Week was another highlight, thanks to the outstanding efforts of Trish Baker and Jo Oliver. The creativity on display was remarkable, with so many students (and staff!) dressing up as their favourite book character (or footy player 🙂). The parade was, once again, a huge success, filled with colour, imagination and excitement. Thank you to all our parents in supporting their children in dressing up.

Subject Teacher Conversations: A big thank you to our dedicated teaching staff for their participation in the Subject Teacher Conversations. These discussions provide an invaluable opportunity for parents, teachers and students to come together and reflect on learning progress and goals. We appreciate the time and effort our parents put into these conversations, ensuring that every student is supported in their learning journey.

St Augustine's Feast Day: We also celebrated St Augustine's Feast Day, a significant event in our calendar where we honour our Patron Saint. A special thanks to Kylie Morrissey, Loretta Shannon and Kylie McGlade for organising such a beautiful and meaningful celebration. It was a day filled with reflection, community and delicious cupcakes!

Beaut Blokes Breakfast: The Beaut Blokes Breakfast was another wonderful event, bringing together dads and father figures in our community. Thank you to everyone involved in making this a fantastic morning, especially Lee Carmody, who took the lead in organising it. It was heartwarming to see so many families come together to celebrate and connect.

7-12 Athletics Carnival: Last but not least, our 7-12 Athletics Carnival was a fantastic day filled with House spirit, energy and friendly competition. Thank you to Michael and Billi for their meticulous planning and preparation and to all the staff who contributed to making this day a great success, despite the windy conditions!

It has truly been an amazing few weeks here at St Augustine's College. Thank you to everyone for your continued support, enthusiasm and commitment to making our College a wonderful place for our students to learn and grow.
