RCIA INQUIRY NIGHTS
Are you interested in becoming a Catholic or do you know someone who is? Please come along to our Inquiry nights on Monday nights at 5.30pm in the Parish Meeting Room at the Presbytery starting 30th September 2024. PRIEST INSERVICE DAY
Fr Uday will be away from Monday 9th September until Thursday 12th September for a Priest inservice in Moama.
LADIES CUPPA AND CHAT

PRIEST RETIREMENT FOUNDATION
Priests Retirement Foundation Appeal will be taken up next weekend, 14/15 September for the retired priests of the Sandhurst Diocese. The Diocese has 12 retired priests who depend on the support from the diocese, which means the support of the people of the diocese. Donations over $2 are tax deductible. Those requiring receipts of donations over $10, please use the envelopes provided. Thank you.
FATHER’S HOLIDAY TO INDIA
Please note that Father will be away from 18th September until 18th October. There will be no Saturday evening Masses during this time. There will be a liturgy on Tuesday afternoon at 4pm.
Sunday Masses will be held at the same time.
VOLUNTEER THANKSGIVING MASS
All volunteers are invited to the Volunteer Thanksgiving Mass on Saturday 7th September at 6pm. This Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Shane and will be followed by a shared meal in the Presbytery.
SOCIAL GATHERING
(Happy Hour) will be held at Parkland Golf Club on Thursday 19th September at 4.30pm. Bring along a small plate of nibbles to share. Drinks at bar prices. Invite a friend or someone who may live alone. All welcome.
TRIVIA NIGHT
The Trivia Night proved to be a fantastic success, attracting 220 participants. Fr Uday together with the organising committee thanks all members of the parish and wider community for supporting the event, whether it was by sponsorship, donations or contributions of food.
The aim of the event was to bring the community together and this certainly occurred. Amazingly, the night made a profit of $5,158.82 thanks to the generosity of our wonderful community.
SACRAMENTAL CHILDREN
Our Sacramental children will be receiving their Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist this Sunday, 8th September at 8.30am Mass with Bishop Shane. Please continue to pray for our children and their families.
MONTHLY WORKING BEE
Monthly working bees are being held on the 1st Saturday of the month at 9.30am to do some general cleaning in the church eg dusting, cleaning glass doors, cobwebs, sweeping steps, etc. If you are able to help we would love to see you. The next working bee will be tomorrow, Saturday 7th September.
DEFIBRILLATOR
Did you know St Augustine’s has a defibrillator. It is located on the corner of the south western end of the Church side door entry facing the asphalt to the church and can be accessed in the event of an emergency when CPR is potentially required. We thank the school for their support of the parish and community. The code for use is C3620.
ANOINTING MASS
Did you know that the Anointing Mass is not only for the sickly and fragile but for anyone who is in need of healing of mind, body and spirit? The next Anointing Mass will be held on Thursday 7th November at 10am, followed by a cuppa. There will be no Anointing Mass in October while Fr Uday is away.
