Extra Bus trips for Yarrabing Secondary College Students
From Term 1, 2026, we’re adding extra bus trips to school special S2824 Thornhill Park to Yarrabing Secondary College and making small changes to the timetable.
The extra trips will give students more space on the bus and allow more students to use the services.

How many extra trips are being added to the timetable?
We’re adding one extra trip in the morning and one extra trip in the afternoon on school days.
Will the new trips have a different route?
No. The extra trips will follow the existing route and use the same stops.
When will the new trips run?
The new trips will run within three minutes of existing services, reducing wait times for students. The new trips will arrive 10-15 minutes before the morning bell and depart 10-15 minutes after the afternoon bell.
Why is the timetable changing?
The existing timetable will have small changes to improve journey time accuracy.
When will the new trips begin?
28 January 2026, which is the first day of Term 1.
Will all school bus stops have signage?
No. Some school bus stops won’t have signs and may be located across the road from public bus stops that do. Students and parents should check route maps and timetables to confirm which side of the road to wait on.
Who operates the service?
Transit Systems, on behalf of the Department of Transport and Planning.
Is the service ticketed?
From 1 January 2026, all passengers under 18 years of age will be able to travel for free on public transport, anytime, anywhere in Victoria.
