Year 9 Camp Information

The Year 9 Camp is coming up in Week 7 of Term 3 

The camp builds on the Survival unit studied in APP classes during either Semester 1 or Semester 2. Students will engage in a variety of adventure-based, team-building activities themed around survival challenges. These include navigation, camp skills, fire making, search and rescue, raft building, team challenges, cooking on fires, and shelter construction.

Students will camp in tents for the duration of the program. All meals will be provided, with students assisting in preparation and cooking using campfires and camp ovens. Hot showers and toilets will be available throughout the camp. Students will choose a group of 2-5 students that they would like to be with for camp. These students can be from any connect class. 

The camp will run by QCCC Expeditions at Cobb and Co 9 Mile Camping Grounds. 

When:  Wednesday 27 August to Friday 29 August 2025. 

Cost:    $442

Sign-up for Camp (New Process)

We are trialling a new process for signing up to the Year 9 camp to reduce paperwork. The Camp Sign-up process will be completed electronically, and parents will be emailed about this prior to the holidays.

To register students for camp, parents will need to complete three steps:

1. Consent: Log into QParents to complete the online consent for Year 9 Camp.
2. Medical Form: Complete the Student Program Medical Online Form using the link provided. 
3. Payment: Pay the camp invoice of $442 by Wednesday 23 July 2025. Any payment plan must be approved prior to this date and payment of all fees must be completed prior to the camp date. 

Please note that there will be additional paperwork for medication consent and specific medical conditions that will need to be completed separately to this process.
