Subject Selection and Pathways Planning

The start of Term 3 has been an exciting and important time for students in Years 8–11, as they have participated in a range of events and activities focused on subject selection and pathway planning for 2027.

These have included:

1. KLA Expo
2. Student information sessions
3. Parent information evenings
4. Pathway planning sessions
5. Course counselling

As part of this process, students have been working with a range of staff to identify their strengths, develop an understanding of their key skills, and explore subject, course and pathway options that align with their interests and future aspirations. This has included collaboration with our Careers Counsellor, Wellbeing Team, Sub-School Teams, and Teaching and Learning Team.

We hope that the information, guidance, and support provided throughout this process have helped students and families identify potential career and pathway opportunities and feel confident in selecting subjects and courses that support their future goals.

Throughout the remainder of Term 3, we will finalise and confirm subject selections and class allotments. Booklists will be released in Term 4, providing families with the information required to order and purchase resources for the 2027 school year.
