ART and TECHNOLOGY

Part of our student ceramic collaboration has finally been installed atop our totem poles. Our Year 11 students  have taken inspiration from iconic Melbourne artist Mirka Mora and contemporary ceramicist Jena Bedson to create the larger feature pieces in the work. Our    Year 9/10 students also contributed by creating small pieces to create height and visual interest that explores shape and texture in the totem poles. It has resulted in a series of monumental yet calm and peaceful sculptures for our new memorial garden. We have also had a fabulous bunch of Year 7 -9 students helping to repaint the staircase to help create an uplifting space. Part 2 of this fabulous student work will be installed in the upcoming weeks. 

Year 9/10 'Express It' students have started off the term by doing a mini studio process inquiry that responds to a Dali artwork and uses their selected art form. Through out the project they are learning about the importance of exploring and learning through trial and error. These wonderful little experimental works can be viewed at our end of year art show.
